Welcome to Food's Muse- Santa Cruz County Personal Chef Service! My first appreciations for cooking came from my father and grandmother. As an adult my adoration for different cuisines and skillsets in the kitchen grew as I had many people in my life who were fantastic flavor artists. After graduating from UCSC with a degree in English Literature I began a path of doing what I loved with regards to food - cooking it for the public! I lived in Sedona AZ for 15 years where I was a personal chef and Bed and Breakfast Chef for Oak Creek Canyon B&B. After leaving Arizona I came back to California, became a nutition educator thru Bauman college in Berkeley and continued my chef business in Oakland, San Francisco and now, happily in Santa Cruz County. I have been here in Santa Cruz for 8 years and continue to grow my education of both nutrition and the flavor arts.
How it works:
Email or call me so we can discuss what your needs are. I cook for single people, couples, families... and even large families:)
People hire me because they are either too busy to cook, aren't interested in cooking, are on a special diet and don't have the energy to learn how to cook the food they need, notice their health is deteriorating from eating out so much, and/or notice that they are SPENDING MORE MONEY BY THROWING FOOD AWAY AND EATING OUT THEN IT COSTS TO HIRE ME!
Whatever your reasons, we will discuss how much food you need, what types of food you want and I will give you an estimate of cost.
Cost will include my time shopping, cooking, and cleaning up. Delivery or pick up will be discussed depending on if I cook in your home or not. My cost per hour is $45
Usually people have me cook once a week(Mondays or Tuesdays) with enough food to last them thru the work week. BUT THIS IS ENTIRELY UP TO YOU!!!
I ONLY USE ORGANIC INGREDIENTS.
I CAN CREATE FOOD THAT SUITES EVERY STYLE OF EATING: RAW, VEGAN, VEGETARIAN, SPECIAL DIETS (GAPS, GLUTEN FREE, ETC.) TO SLOW COOKED STEWS, BONE BROTHS, PALEO, MACROBIOTIC, etc.
